Three championships, 72-10, and playing alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. For three seasons as a Chicago Bull Dennis Rodman enjoyed these perks.
However, off the court The Worm claims to never have spoken to Jordan or Pippen, EVER!
In a recent interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger, Rodman says the only time he spoke with the dynamic Bulls duo was on the court.
“I didn’t think it was important,” he said. “I thought it was important for me to go there and win…I don’t have to have a job to speak to people. My job is to correlate and understand how people work and do one thing and make people believe the fact that you belong there. You know, talking to people will come. Relating to people will come. If they see you performing and doing your job and being with the group, that’s all I want…Me and Scottie and Michael never had a conversation in three years in Chicago. Only time we had a conversation was on the court.”
Rodman was an important piece to the Bulls second three peat in the 90s, but it seems a bit odd that the three would never talk off the court. Not once over a span of three years, and with the three different personas the conversations you would think would be great ones even if it’s just basketball memories.
The interview is scheduled to go on air this weekend, and for anyone who’s interested to tune in for some entertainment from The Worm.
