After being shot in the head on November 24th, Stedman Bailey is already back to working out. This isn’t the first we’ve seen of him since the incident, but it does show the tremendous progress. More from TMZ:
Now, we’ve learned the former 3rd round pick has been hitting the weights hard at the Xtreme Fitness gym in Miami … and according to the owner Gary Sanchez, he’s making tremendous progress.
“He’s been training with me for 2 and a half months,” Sanchez says … who’s been working with Bailey on weight training, balancing, hand-eye coordination and explosion movement drills. My biggest fear was, ‘Is he mentally going to be ready and has he lost any type of functions?’ But he didn’t. He was ready to go the minute he walked in the gym.”
Human beings are incredible. Take a quick second to appreciate the level of perseverance it takes to come back from something as serious as what he went through. Serious injuries like that or even ACL’s or ankles are incredibly hard to come back from, but we see it perfected by these incredible athletes. I’m not taking it for granted.
