Sugar Shane Mosley is coming out of retirement to fight Ricardo Mayorga on August 29th.
The Score brings us the details.
After a one-and-a-half-year hiatus from boxing, Shane Mosley is coming out of retirement at the age of 43 to fight Ricardo Mayorga, according to ESPN’s Dan Rafael. Mosley retired for the second time in December 2013, but was once again drawn to the allure of the ring. Mayorga and Mosley will square off Aug. 29 at a location yet to be determined, with some believing the Staples Center could be an option.
“Mayorga was talking shit and I ran into him in Vegas. Things escalated and, boom, rematch,” Mosley said of his decision to re-enter the ring.
Mosley career record is 47-9-1, his last fight against Anthony Mundine ended by TKO.
