Ted Ginn was released on Monday by the Arizona Cardinals and it seems he could be headed back to familiar grounds. The Carolina Panthers and the Cleveland Browns have both shown interest in Ginn and he has history with both areas. Ginn play 1-year with the Panthers, 2013, where he had 36 receptions and 5 touchdowns but has a longer history with the state of Ohio.
The Ginn family have a rich football legacy in Ohio. Father, Ted Ginn Sr., has built Glenville high school into a powerhouse and coached a few future Ohio State stars such as Tory Smith and Cardale Jones. Donte Whitner, of the Cleveland Browns, played for Glenville and is lobbying hard for Ginn Jr. to return to Ohio and sign with the Browns.
The Panthers and the Browns are both in the buyers market for wide receivers, Panthers need more fire power and Browns have to replace Josh Gordon who is facing a 1-year ban. I have to believe Ginn will head back home to Ohio, it seems like the cool thing to do and other athletes are doing it and receiving high praise.
