Angel Garcia gets his son into some crazy situations, but I’m ‘Swift’ can handle whatever is about to come his way.
Terence Crawford called out the WBC welterweight champion Garcia (32-0, 18 KOs) via twitter — after Garcia’s dad reportedly insulted Bud and his star power.
Speaking about Crawford vs Postel — the elder Garcia had this to say.
“Listen, I didn’t even watch that [expletive], man. I ain’t wasting my money. I ain’t wasting money. Listen, HBO should be embarrassed. Real champions [don’t get the same exposure as] make believe champions.”
Crawford (29-0, 20 KOs) responded by going on Twitter and calling out Danny Garcia over his father/trainer Angel Garcia’s words — asking him to make the fight at 147.
I wonder what Crawford’s promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank thinks about that?
Arum desperately wants to match Crawford against Manny Pacquiao, but would he risk it all just to appease Crawford’s desire to prove something to DSG?
