I think Terry Crews does a lot of good work.
I think his messages, in general, are good ones. I also think there are time no matter how big and tough you are, you are powerless in certain positions.
With that being said, I also think there is a way you can handle someone touching you inappropriately in a way that doesn’t cause you to beat them up.
I think that is what some people are trying to express to Mr. Crews, while others are trying to express that he can speak on his personal issue without bringing black men into it because black men didn’t do this to him.
I think that is a fair assessment to make, but Mr. Crews seems to push back on anyone who says the toxic black masculinity phrase can be used by some as a weapon to once again hold black men down. I explain all of this in the podcast above you can listen to.
An old DL Hughley interview where DL explains he simply wouldn’t allow himself to be violated caused Mr. Crews to throw the toxic masculinity phrase out there and when DL responded he should have slap the sh*t out of his violator things just went off the rails.
