After Damar Hamlin appeared on their broadcast in apparent distress, NBC came under fire.
Hamlin had to watch as a Buffalo Bills teammate departed the field in an ambulance during Sunday’s game against the New York Giants after he miraculously recovered from cardiac arrest suffered during a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals back in January.
After receiving a handoff and making contact with Giants defender Bobby Okereke, running back Damien Harris had a neck injury that necessitated medical attention.
Harris was able to give the thumbs up as the ambulance was being positioned because he can move his arms and legs. As for Hamlin, the safety was visibly upset while sitting on the bench because he had experienced something similar earlier this year, albeit it was far worse for him.
He may be seen in the video down below appearing to wipe his eyes while Harris is attended to.

Fans trolled NBC for showing the reaction.
NBC panning to Damar Hamlin after showing Damien Harris get put on a backboard is insane work ☠️☠️

No lie I’m EXTREMELY happy Damar Hamlin recovered from his injury, but I really don’t like how the NFL be treating him like a Make-A-Wish kid. It’s getting out of hand. Same thing with this Taylor Swift situation. Not sure why they’re putting so much emphasis on them.

NBC loves reminding us Damar Hamlin almost died on the field every chance they get don’t they

Please don’t put the camera on Damar Hamlin right now.
Thanks.

This feels unnecessary

This was hard to watch. You could see his emotions and knowing that was him. PTSD kicked in, I'm sure 🙏🙏🙏

Sean McDermott, the head coach of the Bills, said Harris had full movement and that things were improving after the game. McDermott said
“My understanding is full movement right now,”
“Fortunate that he’s seemingly heading in a good direction with the reports that we’re getting. So I’m just very thankful to God for that.”
