Late last night/earlier this morning a situation was developing at the home of UFC Fighter Thiago Silva. Silva allegedly went to a Jiu Jutsu school where he entered with a gun and threatened people. Silva then left, entered his home and holed up inside before a standoff with SWAT. Now there is new information and he is being charged with felony attempted murder:
Silva faces multiple charges, including two counts of commit/attempt specified felony could cause death, aggravated battery with deadly weapon, and resisting officer-obstruct without violence.
In response to why he allegedly pulled a gun on his wife, Thaysa, Silva said, “She want my money. She want my house.”
The UFC has released a statement:
“This evening, we were made aware of a situation involving Thiago Silva. We are in the process of gathering the facts and have no further comment at this time.”
Luckily, no one was hurt.
