Zach Miller was running a routine route when his season and his life almost changed in one play. This is just a reminder that this could’ve happened to anybody, as it was a non-contact play.
In this exclusive interview, Miller takes you through the play and his initial thought process of what just happened. Miller also discusses his new outlook on life after all that’s happened to him the last few months. Considering he almost lost his leg to this injury, he thanks Sid Dryer the Bears’ assistant athletic trainer. Dreyer made the decision to send Miller immediately to a Level I trauma center. That ultimately saved Millers leg.
Miller said,
“Sid’s my hero, he saved my leg.”
