Tony Stewart was competing in a race on a dirt track at Canandaigua Motorsports Park and was involved in a situation that has left one driver dead. Videos of the incident have popped up on YouTube, it is graphic and doesn’t look good for Stewart. Kevin Ward Jr. and Stewart get tangled up and Ward spins out and crashes. Ward hops out of his race car to confront Stewart on the track while they are under a yellow caution flag and then he is struck by Stewart’s car (the very graphic video is below).
The sheriff has spoken about the incident.
Povero identifies Tony Stewart as hitting driver on the track. Driver was transported by ambulance. Driver was dead on arrival.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Ward’s family and friends. This was a senseless death that didn’t need to happen, Ward was only 20 years old.
