A high-profile referee who officiates at U.S. Open tennis matches was arrested in Midtown Tuesday on suspicion of bludgeoning her 80-year-old husband to death with a coffee mug in Los Angeles in April, authorities said.
NYPD and LAPD detectives arrested Lois Ann Goodman, 70, at the Sheraton Hotel in Midtown Tuesday afternoon. She is expected to be charged with murder and extradited to the West Coast.
Goodman is alleged to have bludgeoned her husband with a coffee mug in their home in the Woodland Hills section of Los Angeles in April, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
