UW forward Malik Dime was not suited up for his team’s 81-66 loss to Colorado Thursday night but he still left an impression.
Dime missed the game due to a broken pinkie that didn’t seem to hinder his halftime shenanigans.
During the first half of the game, a group of Colorado students heckled and hassled Dime like just about any other college basketball fans in America. They apparently got under Dime’s skin so much that he decided a confrontation at the end of the half was necessary.
The confrontation concluded with Dime pimp slapping two students identified only as Dylan and Brian. Here is Dylan’s account of the incident:
We were talking the usual game talk with the players like we usually do. Malik looked over at us at one point and said, ‘I’m gonna come over there and slap the sh*t out of you.’ We didn’t think that was real so we just laughed, and then at the end of the half, he came over to us and pretended like he was giving me a handshake and I reached out and he pulled back and slapped me in the face and the follow through hit the person sitting right next to me, which was Brian.
So Dime hit them with the 2 for 1 which Brian referred to as a “double face”. Although both students laughed the incident off and Dime apologized, Washington coach Lorenzo Romar said that he plans to look into the incident further.
The Huskies drop to 9-15 on the season.
