The departure of Shaka Smart to Texas, landed Kevin Ollie a do-it-all freshman in Terry Larrier.
The 6’8 freshman out of Bronx, New York will transfer to the University of Connecticut and in doing so will sit out this upcoming season.
A couple weeks ago, Ollie also landed former Seton Hall guard Sterling Gibbs, so needless to say it’s been a great spring for the program.
Larrier was a nice rotation player for Smart and averaged 18.5 minutes per game under him, who’s versatility was on display throughout the year. Ollie is inheriting a very lengthy and athletic defender, not to mention shot has ability to shoot from behind the arc though he shot a mere 26.2 percent this past season.
The former four-satr recruit is looking to showcase his talents in UConn similar to this video below.
Lots of upside in Larrier, but will need to put on some weight and continue to work on his offensive game.
Great pick up for Coach Oliie and the Huskies program.
