Tough talk coming from the Minnesota Vikings O-line these days.
After signing with the Vikings last month, Polish giant, Babatunde Aiyegbusi is feeling himself with all of his newfound media attention. According to his twitter feed, he’s already feeling like a “big deal”, even though he’s yet to play an NFL down.

Aiyegbusi also made sure the Vikings knew he has acquired a specific target; being signed to a team in the NFL wasn’t enough. Check out this quote from USA Today:
“What surprised Ryan (Monnens, the Vikings’ director of pro scouting) – I wasn’t jumping around, like big, happy of signing it,” Aiyegbusi recalled recently between sips of a remarkably tiny-looking iced tea.
“He was like, ‘Are you not happy?’ I said, ‘I will be happy when I put (Houston Texans star) J.J. Watt to the ground.’ (Monnens) started laughing.”
Understandably, Aiyegbusi was a star in his own right in his native Polish Football League, so he’s feeling himself. However, I’m not sure if he’s seen J.J. Watt utterly abuse veteran offensive linemen on a weekly basis. Calling out the best defensive player in the sport might not be the best thing for the longevity of Aiyegbusi’s potentially bright future, but it can’t hurt his personal brand…at least until he actually has to see Watt on the field.
