According to the Bowling Green Daily News, Western Kentucky linebacker Der’Quione Mobley was arrested Monday night on a charge of trafficking of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.
The substance was marijuana.
The subjects “stated they had been smoking marijuana near Southwest Hall,” according to the report, and Mobley and another subject stated they had marijuana in their backpacks. They consented to a search of their bags.
Mobley’s bag contained a mason jar with 1.25 ounces of marijuana inside. The other subject’s bag contained a mason jar with 1.14 ounces of marijuana, a digital scale, “Apple brand plastic baggies,” and $325 in cash.
I’m not sure you can call a few ounces trafficking, but I get the gist.
