It was supposed to be Gucci Mane vs. Jeezy…not T.I battling Jeezy! Had it been Gucci, the ratings would’ve surpassed the Brandy vs. Monica battle and that’s facts.
Since the early and mid-2000s’, Hip Hop was dominated by the South featuring legendary rap artists such as Ludacris, T.I, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and rap duo Outkast.
Season two will kick on Nov. 19 as the “King of the South” battle “Da Snowman” on Verzuz. Busta Rhymes chimed in prior calling out T.I. saying he would “bust his a**” although T.I preferred Rhymes use any song from 2001 up until now. T.I. went on record saying “I respect my elders” which was his excuse to walk away. That’s like Chris Brown saying he wouldn’t want to battle Michael Jackson if alive because Jackson paved the way for him and has global status. We all know Rhymes would dog walk T.I. with the classics and that’s with all due respect. It seems like no one wanted the smoke with Busta Bust although Jeezy and T.I. catalogs are fire.
