Days after being told that his suspension was back on effective immediately after a federals appeal threw out a lower’s court ruling that allowed him to play this season, Ezekiel Elliott will be eligible to play for the Cowboys…for now.
According to TMZ Sports, Elliott’s lawyers succeeded in filing for a rehearing in the last two days. Therefore, a judge ruled that Elliott’s suspension won’t begin until the court decides if he gets a rehearing or not.
This means that Zeke can play for now. However, there’s only one problem…the Cowboys have their bye week. It’s possible that by the time they step onto the field, Elliott’s suspension will be reinstated and he would miss Cowboys next game if the court denies Zeke’s petition for a hearing before next week.
