So Brett Favre retired because the Packers didn't go after Randy Moss? That's Favre: Always thinking about the team first.

Yeah Favre wanted Moss and didn't get him, But I doubt that was the only reason he wanted out. He is almost 40 afterall, and is a Mississippi guy, which is a far cry weather wise than Green Bay. Those old football bones can get rattled after over 200 games straight, and his body is probably older than his actual age, with the alchohol and pain killer addictions back in the day. Plus Mark Chamura (former TE) said he thought Favre sat down with his family before last year to decide to play one more season to go after the records, expecting to go only 9-7 or 10-6 at best.

Farve knew what we all knew. With Randy Moss and Ryant Grant still running hard, the Packers could easily come out of the NFC and contend for a title. Without Moss they would be in the middle of the pack (no pun intended)with Dallas, NYG, Seattle, etc. etc.

He's been with the same team for almost 2 decades. I think that qualifies him as a "TEAM PLAYER" Next time try not to talk out of your ass.
