TOM BRADY CALLS OUT ESPN AND THE WORLD IS BETTER FOR IT

tombradystetson.jpg

Brady was asked about some of ESPN's ex-NFL players who have criticized the Patriots. "It's just kind of the environment right now, though," he said on WEEI. "I think that's the way that guys make it. They just say the craziest things. That's what ESPN has become. ESPN, to me, is like MTV without the videos, ESPN is without the highlights."

In the immortal words of Tupac:

"This is the realist sh*t I ever wrote"

Most athletes are afraid to take on ESPN for the simple fact that "The World Wide Leader" has the ability to turn an entire nation of "follower" fans against them (see: Chad Johnson, T.O. and Barry Bonds). However, Brad,y obviously understanding that he is bigger than ESPN, doesn't care and for that I applaud him. Even though his team are cheaters, it was not as bad as some media outlets made it out to be seeing that everyone cheats. I am glad he stood up and told the truth about what everyone else is thinking.

Sorry the pic is funnier than the article

You know you are never going to get job here

While I agree with him about ESPN being a crap network. This is the same crap network that's been extolling how great he is on and off the field as well as his team. And now when they talk about something that's negative about his team(which is well the truth for the most part they broke the rules) he's upset? Well if your team didn't "misinterpret" the rules there would be nothing for them to talk about.

Can't have it both ways take the good with the bad.

Brady is right. ESPN wasted 3 hours the other day talking about Spygate AFTER we learned there was no tape of the Rams walkthrough. Good God ESPN show some highlights and dump the "experts" already.

lol at ESPN having a experts like Emmitt Smith who can't talk in front of a camera

ESPN sucks it is why I come to BSO when I want to hear the truth

While Tom Brady may have a point, what he fails to realize is that his coach cheated and got caught cheating. Belichick was warned about videotaping (cheating) in 2006 and still did it again. For him to get mad at ESPN is just crazy because they called out his coach and his shady behavior. I'm certain we all know Bill Belichick was a medicore coach at best BEFORE he began cheating, while he was the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. Now all of a sudden he's a genius while he's in New England. That's because he had a system in place for the better part of a decade that was foolproof. He kept it up for 7 seasons (2000-07) until he got exposed.

Plus what is Tom Brady complaining about. ESPN was Patriots TV during the enitre 2007 season! They covered Spygate but most analysts gave them the benefit of the doubt until Matt Walsh came forward. For the longest ESPN practically dubbed the Patriots the greatest team of all time. Now the shoe is on the other foot and Brady is salty about it.
