It's sad to say, but Candace Parker is the only reason that I'm remembering that the WNBA is in season.
It's not my fault though. They have a crappy TV deal, and the marketing people are still trying to figure out how to capture the attention of people who don't care for women's basketball.
Parker made history this weekend by being the second female to dunk in a WNBA game. As I have stated before, Parker has a lot of swagger and could be what the league needs. She could be the equivalent of what Lebron James is in the world of sports marketing, if they could find the right vehicle for her.
