Javon Walker....Sigh

Walker was found knocked out on the side of the street early Monday morning in Vegas after an apparent robbery.

Reports are stating that Walker was living the good life all weekend, buying large amounts of expensive bottles and spraying the crowd with them.

Before I point out some issues with his getting robbed, Walker does have signifcant injuries, so I would like to pray for his recovery.

Now that we got that out the way, lets look at the issues I have a problem with.

1) On a weekend where there was no significant sporting event happening in the city, Javon Walker decides to party it up. No Young Jeezy, Diddy, or other athlete in sight except for Charles Oakley (side note: Why are you in Vegas anyway?) So instead of blending in, which wouldnt have mattered because no one knows you by face, you decide to stunt.

2) Walker was found by himself. Im guessing that instead of purchasing 15 bottles of Dom P, you couldve got some goons from around the way to kick it with you for about $1000 each.

2b) Im guessing the Raiders have started some kind of practice/training already, and Walker couldnt find NOT ONE of his teammates to go to Vegas with him? Wow.

So if we take inventory of the situation, Javon Walker went to Las Vegas of all places, to stunt and show off, but without any security. What im guessing happened is that while he was spraying champagne, it got on some guys who a)didnt appreciate it or b)who didnt appreciate, dont care who you are, and decided from that point that it was hunting season.

Walker is fortunate that the situation didnt end up worse. These athletes must understand that they are targets by both the police and by the streets. We have covered this many times on here before. Lets hope he performs on the field this year. Cause if not, he wont have to go to Vegas to worry about people going after him. The Raider Fans are just as ruthless.
