According to various outlets, Grandpa Favre will remain with the Packers and deny his request to be unconditionally released. Translation: "I wasn't born yesterday sucka! No way are we going to let you go to a division rival and haunt us"! The $39 million question now is: What happens next? Since they won't release him will Favre end the drama known as " The Days of our Favre" and just retire by riding that tractor into the sunset? Swallow his pride and play backup to Aaron Rodgers? Yeah I don't see Favre swallowing his ego to do either of those things that would mean less attention is focused on him. And we know he clearly can't have that. So this means the Packers are definately going to want to trade him away. Preferably to an AFC team who needs a QB and is willing to take on the rest of that contract. It will be interesting to see where Favre ends up but don't expect him to be a Viking(or Bear) anytime soon...
