I rank the the San Diego Chargers as the best defensive team in the League. Shawne Merriman and Shaun Phillips are an unstoppable pass-rushing tandem. Merriman draws all the attention and Phillips makes opponents pay.
The Kansas City Chiefs, are, on my list, the next to the worst team defense. Losing Jared Allen Hurts because it means that Alphonso Boone could get exposed as a mediocre player. Tamba Hali, while now probably a 12-sack guy, won't have a big impact in run defense. Derrick Johnson is a great athlete who is yet to flourish into a fulltime force. The key for the Kansas City Chiefs will be getting better play from the young safeties.
Out of all 32 teams in the NFL, I rank the Atlanta Falcon as the worst defensive team in the League. DE John Abraham is a big-name athlete who suffers from a lack of heart. Jamaal Anderson is strictly a run-stopping DE. He had no sacks as a first-round rookie in '07.The Falcons lost a great player in DeAngelo Hall; losing him hurts. With Erik Coleman starting at S and Von Hutchins working opposite Chris Houston at CB, this secondary is frighteningly weak.

I'm going with the bears as the best defense... Harris now being the highest paid DT has something to prove. Last year they had so many crazy injuries they couldn't sustain... but I feel the Monsters of the Midway are going to kill this year.
The Chargers Defense does not hold a candle to the Steelers Defense. It takes more than two pass rushers to make a Defense lady. Do any of them lead the league in sacks? Picks? anything? How many yards or points have the Chargers allowed this year.
Lamar Woodley would knock the crap out of Shawn Merriman in a fight.
