Boy, not to be too preachy but consequences, consequences, and more consequences (whether good or bad) will occur with whatever decisions one makes. No one knows that better right now than Michael Vick. From poster boy of the NFL to poster boy of what not to do if you are a professional athlete. Despite what your opinion is on the severity of his sentence, and I know that is a hot topic, Michael Vick could have avoided that issue all together had he just made the decision to make some changes in the company he keeps and his thought process as a celebrity.

Not only did he lose his rights for at least 2 years or so, but now we hear that due to some poor decisions as to whom he invested his money with and who he entrusted to help him out of his current financial situation: Translation, he is flat broke.

Enter the upstart United Football League that is planning to throw millions of dollars at Michael Vick once he is released from prison. Michael Vick deserves this chance to redeem himself.

Not only am I happy that Michael Vick will get another chance, HE SHOULD get another chance. One of the problems with the legal system is that it holds people who commit crimes accountable but gives those same individuals little opportunity to make the appropriate changes. What am I saying? I am saying that once you are a felon, you are black-balled from working most legit jobs. Thus, those individuals who are there because they lacked hope at an early age, seek out illegal means to make money because they lack hope. Michael Vick should not and will not have that problem once released. I hope the UFL throws the bank at him and thus gives him another chance to make different decisions. This will give Michael Vick an opportunity to build different relationships and friendships; this will give Michael Vick to put away the mentality that led to his current situation. He now knows that there is nothing wrong with finding wealth and changing for the better. It's not selling out to ask your friends to come up a little higher (make better choices) or else move on a little faster. Michael Vick getting another chance is the perfect opportunity for him to once again escape the environment that entrapped him and his brother. Because the one thing Michael Vick has always been able to do is entertain and play football. That is a skill that he will be able to put to use once he is released from prison.

More importantly, Michael Vick was not a victim of racism. Let me clarify; Michael Vick is not in the situation he is in because he is Black. Michael Vick was a victim of his poor choices; choices that he was well aware would get him into trouble. Let's hope the UFL gives him a chance to demonstrate to people how his poor choices have led him to enrich his life. Sometimes adversity is the only thing that forces someone to change. If that adversity doesn't come, people will stay in their comfortable place whether that place is good or bad. Adverstiy has come to Michael Vick so that he is given the opportunity to change his habits. The UFL is his chance to show us the new Mike Vick. I for one feel that he deserves it.

I am not going to talk about Michael Vick when we have Lebron "pimp focus" on ass is going on.

Above comment very funny, but seriously Mike needs to take whatever money he can get and run

We will take him back

if detroit or chicago dont have a qb by the time he is released from prison he might go there

Yes he deserves a chance and until people speak out for human rights dogs will have more rights than blacks and minorities
