During this entire offseason soap-opera starring Brett Favre, a lot of talk has been made about how the situation has affected Aaron Rodgers. Many people talk about how Rodgers doesn't deserve to start over Favre, and many others say that he is getting a raw deal.
When you are a first-round pick and all you've done is play a handful of snaps over the past 3 seasons while still collecting on that 5-year $7.7 million contract, there is nothing to whine about. As far as I'm concerned, Rodgers has it made. However, in all the talk about possible trade destinations for Favre, one man continues to get disrespected at will:
Minnesota Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson

The former second round draft choice from Alabama State (and previously the University of Arkansas) begins his 3rd season with one eye clearly peeking over his shoulder pads. He's been criticized as the weak link on a team with Super Bowl aspirations. He doesn't have stellar numbers, but he really hasn't had much to work with considering that his 'best' receivers were Bobby Wade and Sidney Rice last season.
Not exacly the '98 Vikings in terms of receiving talent. Yet everyone in the world believes Favre will somehow be the ultimate difference for the Vikings. Somehow, it's ok to dismiss Jackson and stunt his growth at a position that requires game experience and practice reps to improve. Jackson is easily dismissed because he came from an HBCU and the mainstream media know little about him. And while Jackson has maintained a positive outlook on the situation, he can't be too happy about his team possibly pulling a "Charlie Brown" on his starting job.

I am the forgotten man
He sucks
there is a reason why he is forgotten it is because he is horrible.
