Let me preface this by saying that I think Tony Kornheiser is a great journalist and an engaging personality on ESPN's Pardon the Interruption. The chemistry and wit that he has displayed on the program with Michael Wilbon have entertained viewers for years. Unfortunately this has not crossed over into Kornheiser's other job: Monday Night Football. As has been said by many before, Tony simply doesn't add much to the telecast. During MNF's telecast of the Titans-Colts game, Kornheiser made several disparaging remarks about the team and the city of Nashville in general. I'm fully aware of his ties to the Northeast and their belief that they are superior to other regions in the country, particularly the South. He seemed obsessed with characterizing the city as some country western outpost that lacked sophistication as well as being a small media market.
I don't want to sound like a representative of the Chamber of Commerce, but if Tony had bothered to do any research at all, he would have realized that Nashville is more of a cosmopolitan city than he gives it credit for. If you didn't go downtown, you would never know Nashville had country music at all. Nashville is the 25th largest media market ahead of such population centers such as Green Bay, New Orleans, Buffalo, etc. Tony Kornheiser needs to act like a journalist and do some research rather than the lazy, cartoonish, media personality he has evolved into. If he can't do anything other than throw cheap insults at cities not named New York or Boston, then ESPN needs to give him the Dennis Miller treatment and show him the door. I'd much rather listen to a two man booth with Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski anyway.

I completely agree, he sucks and i know Ron Jaworski is as sick of him as I am.
Kornheiser is a blowhard that adds nothing to the game and detracts from the hard work of Mike Tirico and Ron Jaworski. It is in fact a game, which I want to watch and enjoy with some intelligent insight as delivered by Mike and Ron. Kornheiser is just all mouthy and as pointed out, very abrasive and condescending to the cities from which the broadcast is originating. I really don't care to hear an analysis of Tom Brady in a game in which HE ISN'T EVEN PLAYING. Cornholio should just do us all a favor and resign.
Constant references to Brett Favre,(in games he is NOT in) and criticism of head coaches and staff have left me bored and frustrated on the best night of the week.
