Michael Vick is going to the dogs

According to various news outlets, Michael Vick is going to plead guilty on state dogfighting charges. Now one may wonder why he would do such a thing. Well he's doing this to get out of jail quicker so he can resume what's left of his NFL career. He's doing this to get into a halfway house and out of prison. Now in order to do this he has to resolve the pending charges in Virginia to get out of prison. Vick is clearing the way to petition to get back into the NFL for the 2009 season. He could be in a halfway house as early as January. And while he's in a halfway house, Vick could hold a job such as being an NFL QB or the Arena League. I mean it seems so "simple" right? I mean never mind that he has been suspended indefinately and has to seek reinstatement from Fidel Goodell to even be back in the NFL. He might have a better shot at the Arena League. While I do think there are NFL teams that would take a chance on him despite his past its up to Roger Goodell to open that cage. Especially when you factor in fan reaction and well PETA who won't go away quietly. I mean does he really want to take that risk? Chances are no. However he also reinstated Pacman so maybe he believes Vick deserves a second chance as well. If he does get reinstated in the NFL every game he plays will be must see TV because while there are many people who will hate him and hope he gets crushed into oblivion on the field there were be just as many people wanting his redemption just the same.
