According to ESPN, Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Wednesday that Willie Clark faces 39 counts, including first-degree murder and attempted murder. Apparently there was an altercation between Clark and Williams respective groups at the nightclub that night. Quoting witnesses, the indictment said Clark got into an SUV, followed the rented limo carrying Williams and opened fire. Clark is in federal custody in a separate case. He is the first person to be indicted in Williams' death. The indictment said at least 15 shots were fired into the limo, killing Williams with a bullet to the neck and injuring two other passengers, Nicole Reindl and Brandon Flowers. T
he ironic twist here is that Willie Clark used to play for the Chargers, as if there wasn't enough bad blood between the teams. Darrent's mother could not be reached for comment. All I have to say is while I'm glad that Darrent's family will have some closure and hopefully Clark (if he's guilty) will spend the rest of his life in prison, I'm still disappointed this even happened in the first place. This was just another act of senseless violence because some "whack" pride was bruised. And in the end one person's life was cut short and another person's life is over. What was the point of it all?

bout time
It's terrible that someone like Willie Clark has no respect whatsoever for human life.
They should put him away for good before he decides to kill again. Clearly, he has no qualms about doing just that.
And while we're at it... why not put ALL life-sentanced federal prisoners on treadmills? Every hour they run they get some kind of reward (cigarettes, tv time, outside time) and... those treadmills are hooked up to generators creating electricity? INMATES ON TREADMILLS WILL SOLVE OUR ENERGY PROBLEMS!!!
that, or horses running on treadmills. thousands of them... running. on treadmills.
