Unnecessary Roughness

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a fan of Larry Johnson. He is overrated. Point Blank, Period. He can thank his former roommate Jay-Z for any bit of additional celebrity he does have. Yeah, you can re-read that last line again. Former Roommate. What does one of music's biggest stars need with a roommate while you are dating Beyonce?

I cant wrap my mind around the question above, but its Larry's off field antics that he needs to get a grasp on.

According to the Kansas City Star, Johnson is facing his THIRD charge related to assaulting women. Previous incidents include being charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery in 2003 for allegedly waving a gun during an argument with a former girlfriend at his home. The charges were later dropped when he agreed to a domestic violence diversion program (source: Associated Press). Charges against Johnson in 2005 were dropped after a woman who had accused him of pushing her to the ground at a Kansas City bar decided not to press charges and failed to appear in three court hearings.

Now, I know the previous two charges were before the "Get 'em Good" Goddell Era, but no word has been sent on whether or not the league will do something about it. According to Coach Herm Edwards, he hasn't decided whether or not Johnson would be disciplined by the team.

So, lets see if i have this correct. Adam Pacman Jones, who was wrong in the incidents he was involved in, gets suspended indefinitely by the league for an incident with an associate (which after the altercation, no legal paperwork was filed). Matt Jones was arrested at gunpoint for a felony drug possession, and has not been disciplined yet. Larry Johnson has history of being "accused" of assaulting women, and has not been reprimanded as of press time.

Where is the consistency on Goddell's part?
