-- Guess that trade worked out so far for both the Nuggets and Pistons, huh? The Pistons are 4-2 with AI, having taken down the Cavs and the Lakers win streaks in the process. the Nuggets themselves look like a better team with Billups, but don't look for them to make much noise in the loaded west. A playoff appearance that looked at first bleak, is starting to clear up a bit.
- The Cleveland Cavaliers actually look like a team now. So far this season, they can't be called The Cleveland Lebron's. the most glaring difference so far has been the play of Mo Williams at the point. The off season trad has been a big payoff for the Cavs. The subtler difference is the play of Andy Varejao. He is playing the game now like he was when he was a junior member of the Brazilian national team. Back then he was scoring at will, hitting jumpers and using post moves. That was glaringly absent early on in his NBA career.
- Jermaine O'Neal is back ladies and gentlemen. O'Neal grabbed 17 rebounds on Wednesday. He's now put together five consecutive games of double-figure points and rebounds.
- Look for Gerald Wallace of the Charlotte Bobcats to be moved. Larry Brown hasn't really traded anyone yet, so I expect this move to happen soon.
- Jerry Stackhouse's time may have passed. I would say that the guy has lost a step, but I would need to see him on the court. He also may be on the trading block, unless Cuban buys out his contract.
- Dwyane Wade dropped 40 points, dished eleven assists, and swatted five shots, and the Heat still lost to the Raptors 101-95. I'm glad he got that ring early...
