Wes Welker Gets "Jacked Up" By Ryan Clark - Robert Littal Presents The Infamous BlackSportsOnline

Wes Welker Gets "Jacked Up" By Ryan Clark

Wes Welker was "Jacked Up" by Ryan Clark. Had me going:

5yvj8o.gif

I give him credit for getting back into the game. Say what you want about Welker he is tough especially considering his size. Definitely a cheap shot by Ryan Clark guess he has been getting lessons from the Hines Ward school of dirty hits.

*Edit*

I forgot this is Pittsburgh Steelers fans we are talking about, so I have to expand on an obvious thought. Watch the play objectively. As the ball is tipped all of the Steelers on the play stop. Except for Clark who can clearly see that the ball is going to the ground. He proceeds to take two steps and launch himself into Welker. Now it was not helmet to helmet. He definitely hit him with his shoulder, but was it necessary? No. Was it a cheap shot? Yes. Was Clark trying to send a message to the Patriots? Of course.

Should it have been a penalty? Yes. Fine? That is questionable because he didn't lead with the head, so I would say no the penalty was enough.

Now that is an objective unbiased view of the play. I would suggest you try to do the same.

Two words Cheap shot,
Good thing Welker was fitted with one of those concussion preventitive mouth guards. Like Colt McCoy he took a beating and kept on playing.

OMG! Quit ur f****** whining, you sissy-ass bitches. The ball hadn't even hit the ground yet when Welker got tattooed. GEEZ!! If the balls not tipped, Clark hits Welker just as the ball arrives. That's a good play! You bitch-ass Patriot fans can't have it both ways. You've had Rodney Harrison in your secondary for years and he's known as one of the dirtiest players in the history of the league. Bullshit call on the penalty. Typical Hochuli officiated game.

wow your defense and even some offensive player make up the dirtiest team in the league. they play below dirty. cry about it. if that ball isnt tipped, everyone is talking about what an awesome play it was.

The Steelers are dirty?!?!? Losers always say that they get their ass beat. Ya'll are in the same class as the Bungals. At the Steelers didn't get the biggest fine in league history for cheating. WOW!!

Steelers fans are so funny. Every ref threw a flag on that play. Obviously late, dirty and unnecessary.

Obviously late? The ball hadn't hit the ground yet...how is that considered late? Obviously dirty...Clark hit him with his shoulder. Is it Clarks fault that Welker quit on the play and looked down instead for who might have been coming? Obviously unnecessary...Welker's going across the middle. I thought this was the NFL? Any receiver going into the middle of the field knows what might happen.

Here. Use my 5-time Super Bowl champion Terrible Towel to cry into. I hate it when grown men bawl like pre-pubescent little school girls.

First of all, nice "edit". The Steeler players stop to go after the ball. The don't stop because it was tipped. The ball was still in the air. AGAIN, the ball hit the ground after the hit. The Steeler players are changing direction, not quitting on the play, like Welker. Second of all, you don't know what Clark was looking at, so you can't "assume" he saw the ball. Ya'll are grasping for straws to try and criminalize a legitimate play. Had the ball not been tipped and it gets to Welker...he still don't catch it! BECAUSE HE'S GONNA GET JACKED UP EITHER WAY!

According to Steelers Fans you could stab someone one second before the whistle blows and it would be legal.

And if Steelers fans really didn't think it was cheap why am I saying threads pop up talking about taking donations to pay his fine?

It was cheap. It wasn't helmet to helmet but he should have gotten penalized it was obvious what he was thinking. He could have and should have held up the goal is to play the game correctly. He was trying to hurt Welker on a play that was over. No need for all that.

My mama always said "cheaters & whiners make piss-poor football players."

Peace out, mother-f******!!!

It was cheap, but it was a damn good hit

Greg Street, do you really think he was trying to hurt him on the play. It looks to me like he is trying to play the game of football. The league is turning into a bunch of pussies, also if you can honestly say that Hines Ward throws dirty blocks, you are not a true football fan.

Greg,

All I've got to say in response to your last post is....Clark's play was a microcosm of Rodney Harrison's career. DEAL WITH IT!

Of course he was trying to hurt him. What type of stupid question is that. You don't hit someone like that unless you are trying to hurt them. Now was he trying to end his career of course not, but he was definitely trying to take him out of the game. He is there best receiver (Moss takes too many plays off) it is too there benefit to take him out.

"I must break you..." Ivan Drago/Ryan Clark

I wonder if this is posted on "whitesportsonline.com"? Of...that's right...that would be considered racist.

they should have put f... me pumps on that girl welker after he got leveled by the steel curtain,
that b.tch is still cryin to his mommy right now.

lol an "uneccessary hit on a defenseless woman" is more like it. shouldnt have even been a penalty, no helmet was used.....just a very hard hit. since when can't you hit hard in the NFL?
SOME P.SSY IS MAKING THE RULES NOW IN FOOTBALL.
PUT A CRASH HELMETON WELKER AND GET HER BACK OUT THERE...........GO STEELERS

CHEAP SHOT LIKE NO ONES BUSINESS! quit my whinning? id fold you like a piece of origami... steelers, won one game against the the pats... who would have dominated them with brady.. (we all know this)... but pittsburgh is cool... about as cool as chymidia... banwagon fans, you dont run ish, your team dont run ish, and the only your city does run, its its mouth...

f... me pumps - that's too funny!

I just noticed the site was blacksportsonline.com
Are you serious? Isn't Welker white? silly black people

What's with all these ads with white people in them? Am I right? OBAMA

Jack Tatum thinks you're all a bunch of pussies. What the hell is football coming to?

Wow, at least the Steelers FINALLY beat the Pats at football for the first time in like a decade. HAHA. I love it. The team can only beat us with Matt Cassel in and half of our defense out and STILL almost lost this game in the first half. Enjoy the ride fellas, enjoy. Smack talk it up, cheer, go nuts, do it! Because I will be laughing when your one and done in the playoffs, just like the past couple of years...

Hey Oz, just an FYI. The only other time this season I've been this happy...was when I seen Brady limp off the field (with help) in Kansas City. "If we had's" and "Woulda coulda's" don't mean shit. If the O-line had blocked better, he'd still be playing.

In case you haven't noticed, the Steelers have had injury after injury after injury and guess what. Just like our coach said, "It's part of the game, we'll deal with it and move on." 9-3 record, multiple injuries and the toughest schedule anybody's played in the last 25 years.

Good luck to the Patsies the rest of the way. You're gonna need it.

The hit was dirty. But even worse was the shot of Tomlin laughing it up with Clark on the sideline while Welker was being helped up.

Best hit I've seen since Darren Perry nearly decapitated Steve Tasker streaking down the sidelines on monday night in the mid '90's.

How about you look at it this way: You try to stop at full speed while running at another player who is notoriously undersized and running across the middle through what is known as one of the toughest defenses in the NFL. Nothing wrong with that play, the NFL is being run by wimps. and guess what, I'm not a Steelers or Pats fan. All I have to say is Welker should be thanking God it wasn't Polamalu.

Saw a great T shirt teh other day:

18 wins and one GIANT loss. That's good stuff.
All that stuff happened in a split second and the ball was tipped - Welker was fair game. That being said I think Wes Welker is probably the best receiver in the league and I would hate to see him injured, even though it is rough to play against him - he will always make plays. I would rather have charlie hustle than Moss any day of the week. Should we start playing football in michellen man outfits on a trampoline field? Would that make everyone feel better? It's Football - get over it. Welker got crushed but the hit was completely legal.

Vicious hit, yes. Cheap shot, no. I just don't see how this play is different from a few dozen "clean" plays involving receivers running across the middle of the field.

That was my comment a minute ago --- don't know how my information got removed.

The only difference between this hit and the one on Anquan Boldin is the ball got to the receiver and it was helmet to helmet. The Jet player got fined and suspended.I guess Pitt fans are like Cleveland fans cheer when a player gets injured.

strizz chill with the racist BS. There is nothing racist about this site and considering Welker is white I think that confirms it.

Oz.

How do you almost lose in the first half?

What does that even mean? Did Kraft have his lapdog Goodell start awarding half wins for each each half?

Smith was committed to the tackle before the ball even hit the ground.

That's what I saw.

Who cares if all of the other Steelers stopped?

What's he supposed to do in that split second?

Should he see what his teammates are doing, weigh the options, worry about if he's going to be fined, worry about if he's going to be trashed on the blogs.

Or should he play to the whistle.

You tell me...

This most certainly was not a cheap shot--Clark led with his shoulder, not his helmet, and had the ball not been tipped Clark and the ball would've arrived at about the same time. Even with the ball being tipped, it was still fluttering through the air when Clark delivered the blow.

That said, the personal foul call was correct. Welker WAS defenseless, he had no chance to catch the ball (it was well behind him) and he'd pulled up. Of course there was no way for Clark to know all that, as he was barreling down on Welker with very bad intentions.

Just one of those things that happens in the fast and delightfully ultra-violent NFL. Kudos to Welker for not being killed outright on the spot. 'Cause he got JACKED UP.

Hit was clearly a cheap, pu$$y hit, just like the ones trademarked by Ward.

Obviously, Steelers fans disagree. But their punishment is that they have to live in Pittsburgh. Yikes, what a disgusting, sewer that city is.

Some rules are clear to me: helmet-to-helmet, hitting after the whistle, launching body, slamming a QB to the ground. But what constitutes "hitting a defenseless receiver?" Can someone tell me in what situations a receiver is considered defenseless and in what situation they are not defenseless? What are the characteristics of a defenseless receiver? I'm looking for a real definition. Then I can get back to work.

steelerman, since when is anybody on the field fair game to just get blasted randomly? everyone else on the field could see the play was broken. Welker had time to stop running his route by three steps. Dirty hit. Just because it wasn't helmet-to-helmet doesn't make it a fair play.

He had no idea. I can understand that but that dude knew how hard he was gonna hit my man before he reached his ass. I don't buy that sorry excuse. It don't take much of a hit to lay Wes Welker scrawny ass out lol Come on now! Ya'll know he deserved that personal foul for unnecessary roughness. Ain't about being a pussy or a wimp. I've reviewed the video 5 times now. Who's the say the ball would of reached Welker tipped or not. The play was clearly broken up! Hell instead of being tipped it could of been overthrown and then what's your justification? Leading with the shoulder, leading with your helmet, leading with your right ass cheek. He should of been called. Fined on the other hand is excessive. Other cats in the league have hit just as hard. That's where the rule about helmet to helmet etc should come into play. Otherwise, it is what it is...a cheap shot! I rest my case

I guarantee you this. Had that been the last play of the game with the Patiots down 4 points on the goal line for a score, it would have not been called. The refs felt sorry for the Patriots getting stomped all game long and figured they'd let up on them.

Five rings? Yes, the PLAYERS won those. You just sat in you mother's basement playing video games and watching porno. YOU are not on the team. Now go punch the clock like a good moron.
Pathetic.

Vicious hit. Am I missing somethng or does the ball hit Welker in the back (35 sec mark) before it hits the ground? More accurately, Welker hits the ball after getting whacked. If the ball hasn't hit the ground, isn't the play still on? If the ball is still traveling toward the receiver after being tipped, the safety has an obligation to his team to play to the whistle.

How can a fan base that is so baseball-smart be so football-stupid? When the ball is tipped, it is the safety's RESPONSIBILITY to hit the receiver. No doubt about it. Call Rodney Harrison and ask if that shot was improper!

Pats fans should be pissed at their coach and quarterback for designing and/or executing a play that strings their midget receiver out over the middle. Tip or no tip, there was a huge chance that Welker gets creamed.

not a dirty hit....just pansy refs with a pansy commish...stip whining this is football not croquet... shedddup if you don't like it...holmes got lit up last thursday night and it was a clean hit....all you cheatriot fans stop crying...u got one of the dirtiest ever in rodney harrison.

that was a great hit and wasnt cheap at all that is exactly what the coaches tell you to do when the ball is tipped

Steelers are assuming a new name...cheap shot team. All deserved this year. Its a reflection of the coach. Timlin's out of control. He does not act professional and will receive no respect till he does. Beleive me I witnessed it at Redskins stadium. Whooping it up like a college Frat boy while running off the field. He's bringing down the long and well deserved respect built by the old steelers. It starts with the coach, Hines, and Clark. Village idiots

Doesn't matter Steelers will chock in the playoffs like they always do

ssttoopp bitchin...new england....you got blown out at home ..and welker got blown up at home..

new england fans are just mad cause ryan clark lit wes welkers world up i mean he got knocked into next week and whoever said the steelers are gonna choke in the playoffs we arent gonna choke yall might not even make the playoffs now you come talk to me when brady hasnttorn his acl and yall have 5 SUPER BOWL RINGS go wine on bradys torn acl and randy moss's butterfinger hands and cassels arm that he cant throw with

i want these new england fans to say somethin else i do yall are cheaters yall taped the rams walk threw before the super bowl and u taped our practice 4 years ago when yall played us

Steelers

HA, HA!! Pretty much says it all if you're a PATRIOTS fan doesn't it?

as a huge steelers fan. i'll admit it was a cheapshot and def. deserved a penalty. and he'll probably get fined.. but my god was it worth it seeing wes welker get his ass lit up.. lets be real here.. hes the reason cassel throws for 400 some yards.. he throws 3 yd passes to welker who runs for 80. fuck welker and fuck the patriots. they got destroyed. good job clark!

Welker: Keep your head up, bitch.

Steeler's D: Keep up the good work. You are the reason teams HATE to play Pittsburgh. If it takes a couple fines and some bullshit personal foul calls, so be it.

Maybe next time it will be Brady's faggot ass.

Rodney Harrison? Last I checked he was on injured reserve so he didn't play in last Sundays game. Why does his name keep coming up? Because Steelers fans can't comment on the play at hand and have to resort to grade school type arguments.
By the way yes I think Rodney is a dirty player but guess what-The Steelers would have loved to have him too.
Oh and as far as the rings go lets try to stay a little current and not have to go back 30 years to when the Steelers won their 4 rings and were a great team. I liked them then.

Oh and whoever was the guy that said that Brady would have done no better, how has that worked out for the Steelers in the past? I guess this team is much better than any team they have had in the past 10 years? Ummm....OK.

A towel, now that's intimidating.

Slash, good point about the rings.

Hits like that happen from time to time. The only reason this is news is that the Squealers (Whines Hard, and previously Porter) and the Patriots (Seymour, Harrison) have had some of the dirtiest players in the league, as determined by the actual players. Otherwise, it's just a nasty hit.

Even if the ball wasn't tipped he still wouldn't have caught it... Even if he had caught it the patriots would have still losed... SO STOP BITCHIN'

slash, I'll spell it out for since you seem to be incapable of figuring it out yourself. The reason Rodney Harrison keeps coming up is because he is infamously known and regarded as a "dirty player". He's been voted the dirtiest player in the leauge not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES (2004 by players, 2006 by players & 2008 by NFL coaches)!!! Hell, the Patriots even signed John Lynch earlier this year. He's not exactly a poster child for sainthood by NFL standards. And yet all the Patriot fans want to "bitch & whine" about one of their own being on the other end of the type of hit that their own players have been dishing out for the past several years. YA'LL ARE A BUNCH A WHINY-ASS BITCHES THAT WOULDN'T LAST ONE NIGHT ALONE IN THE 'BURGH!! And if you do come to our town, don't be surprised if you get punched in the mouth by a fist decorated with 5 VERY LARGE SUPER BOWL RINGS!! They may be old, but they're ours and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.

As far as the Terrible Towel goes, many a team has walked onto their home field and muttered aloud..."What the hell are all those yellow towels doing in the stands?" That's how we let our Steelers know we got their back, bitch!

...and SLASH (we know it's you Kordell)...don't be bitter. You had your chance to be loved by the Steeler faithful...you just couldn't deliver. Go back to Colorado where you're still somebody!

My question: Was the whistle blown before the hit was made? If the whistle wasn't blown, the play is not over, therefore the hit is within the time of the play. Play until there is a whistle.

ok this was a vicious hit, but not a cheap shot and definetly not an illegal hit. everyone TRUE football fan knows that when the ball is tipped during a pass, everyone is fair game (YES, EVEN THE RECEIVERS)!!!wes welker is a tough little guy and i guarantee he will continue to go across the middle unlike RANDY MOSS, T.O, or T.J. Houshmandzadeh... Clark said it right, "i get paid to make plays and that is what i did."

It's not football if you cant hit . if the players dont want to get hit hard then they shouldnt play. oh and give me one CHEEP SHOT by ward. as ward said " i guess im paying $5,000 a week because im not changing how i play football."

Both teams are dirty. However, that play was a clean hit and I tip my hat off to Ryan Clark. If it was done to T.O. no one would have cared.

Welker never came back into the game .... he may go across the middle again but against the steelers he'll have his head on a swivel (like it should be)

Man im tired of hearing all this patriots fans complainin about the hit being cheap, this sport isnt badminton its football, wake up its a damn contact sport. It was a great hard hit, and id hate to break it to you but thats the point. It wasnt a cheap hit because the plays not over till the ball hits the ground and the whistle blows. Thats a basic rule guys play till the whistle blows. Ryan Clark made a great hit because he probably was watchin welker for the catch not polamalu for the tip. He made the play he thought was necesary, his shoulder was lowered and was committed to the tackle it was gonna happen regardles of what happens to the ball. Thats all i have to say

"I give him credit for getting back into the game. Say what you want about Welker he is tough especially considering his size."

Hey Morons, and BoneHEAD Sports Expert Robert Littal - Welker never returned to the game.

Dirty players? You must be thinking of the Ravens, with their bounties and unapologetic joy over ending a rookie's season.
(And before you can say Hines Ward, yes he never apologized for the Rivers hit but did express remorse that it was season-ending)

he didnt get back in the game. . . they showed a shot of him on the sidelines trying to remember wat his name was lol

This was in no way a cheap hit. On a tipped ball, the receiver HAS to be taken out or else.....you have Reggie F'ing Wayne grabbing a lucky tip for a TD. Since this was fresh in the memory of the finest defense in the league, it is no wonder that any receiver near a tipped pass gets driven into next week. Furthermore, the ball was still fluttering around somewhere and the play was not over. Further-furthermore, what the f#@k was Welker looking at as he was running? The ground? If any of you are hockey fans, this is like a hotshot left wing sailing across the blue line with his head down.....he deserves to be separated from consciousness by a nasty-assed defensemen with a huge check on the principle that it is technically bad hockey. Same thing goes here. I'm sure that it is unneccesary for Welker to worry when you play the Jets or the Dolphins but this was the STEELERS and that hit was STEELER FOOTBALL.

HAHA !!! This just in -- "NFL defends Wes Welker hit: Blow to Welker legal, part of game"

Take that, you bunch of sissies. Put your skirts back on.

"It was a consequence of what pro football is and what Welker has done to opposing teams the past few seasons. Most importantly, it was within the rules."

http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/view.bg?articleid=1136415&srvc=home&position=1

Great post Steelballs!!!!

Picture this....me with right hand placed over my face trying to hide the smile and stifle the laughter, all the while, my left arm raised, pointing in the direction of Robert Littal, Steve, Greg and every other whiny-ass bitch Patriots fan on here that cried about little Wes being hit too hard.

Just admit ya'll are a bunch of pussies. Maybe you should tune in to the figure skating or synchronized swimming that's on the other stations on Sundays. You'll save yourself alot of grief.

Steerlerman Littal said he shouldn't have gotten fine. So I guess I don't get it.

It his opinion that it was cheap but he said specifically and here is the quote.

Which is almost the exact same thing the NFL said
