Andre Iguodala needs to step up. Better yet he needs to discover his game. Even if it's not his game, any game at this point. We all know that the Sixers overpaid him when they paid him that monopoly-like 80 million dollar contract. We all knew he wasn't worth it. It's very simple, when you're making that type of money and you're a wing player in the NBA you have to be great at something. Usually you're great off the dribble or you have to be a great shooter and he's neither!
I could talk about Cheeks and how i'm not totally sure he knows what he's doing with the talent he has and where to put the pieces. I know they need time to get cohesive but that being said it's not a rubix cube it's called a NBA roster and he doesn't seem like he has the fainted idea. But this is about a 80 million dollar player who's averaging 13 PPG barely shooting 40% and playing in Philly. I know, I know about Andre Miller looking like he's a nut getting cut up and used by young guards like D. Rose (Littal, 'Dre Miller needs to reevaluate his life after that Rose move) and DJ augustine. I know about Samuel Dalembert still looking like his basketball IQ is a negative 3. But when you have a legit problem on the court or a legit difference maker he can mask some of those weaknesses.
Elton Brand is Elton Brand. He looks like the player he always was and he's playing as good as you probably could play with what's going on around him. Thaddeus Young early on looks like the Most Improved Player in the NBA. It's Iguodala who had four points at the half with a midget in Ben Gordon guarding him. I know he's playing out of position but that doesn't excuse being a spectator when Brand has the rock and acting like it's a crime to take it hard to the rack.
The Sixers are obviously a disappointment early on and the tentative Iguodala is on the clock. If he doesn't get his stuff together I sense this being a bad situation for the entire organization. Fans bringing signs to games saying "Will the real A.I. please stand up?" is just a start to what could be career tarnishing season.
Andre Iguodala, it's called a basketball and you use your god given athletic ability to put it in between the orange circle called a basket about 10 feet from the ground!

You're on point about wing players. in the NBA they're a dime a dozen with a few exceptions. There seems to be an endless number of guys 6-5 to 6-9 who are pretty good, and there are always more coming out of college. You don't shell out big money to those guys. Is Iguodala any better than Gerald Wallace, another highly paid wing player?
i agree a little.but andre iguodala is not overpaid.he has just not excepted his role as a star player in this leage.he want to be a sidekick of elton brand and andre iguodala has to much athleticism to except the second role.
