Many people get up after a great win or after things have gone their way and thank God in the good times; that's the easy part. However, Kurt Warner is a prime example of someone who does more than talk a good game and walks out his Christian faith. The Bible says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen and looking at Kurt Warner's career, one can see how his faith has brought him through. You know the story of him going from bagging groceries, being an Arena Football guy, to 3rd string QB who leads the Rams to a Super Bowl win. After those extreme highs, then came the lows again. He was often injured and eventually left for dead by the organization he helped put on the map in the St. Louis Rams. He was once again discarded by the Giants and ended up in Arizona where again he was signed seemingly to keep a seat warm for Matt Leinart.

Through all of this, he has maintained his faith and now he has once again been put back on top of the mountain. We all can take lessons from him no matter what are religious background is. Kurt Warner never waivered in his belief that he could play the game of football despite being told by many coaching staffs a contrary opinion. He didn't point fingers, blame others for his circumstances, or stop pursuing his goals. He stayed true to who he was which means for him to maintain his faith. Many times people question those who intersect sports and religion and for some reasons that sound valid, however, it is my opinion that stories like Kurt Warner's can be a testimony to all people who sometimes want to give up when being told you aren't good enough. Sometimes sports is a flatform that can be used to affect lives, and Kurt Warner has definitely used his to affect and change the lives around him. Now he is almost back on top of the mountain. Are you going to tell him he can't accomplish the improbable and lead the Cardinals to the NFL Championship? I won't.

GOD has nothing to do with sports. Are you saying God doesn't like the Eagles?

Harry, that was a very poor interpretation of what I wrote. The article was about Kurt Warner remaining in faith under tough circumstances. It had nothing to do with who won the game or not. Sorry, no offense but that question has no relation to what I wrote.

Harry-

I have to agree with Cornelius; he didn't even mention the Eagles in the piece. It was a piece on how Kurt Warner's faith has helped HIM endure, and the possible lesson we can all take away, whether it's faith in God, or faith in yourself and your ability.

It even had a disclaimer about faith at the top.

Your anti-religious bias is showing.

You're absolutely right that God has nothing to do with sports; but to those of us that believe, he has EVERYTHING to do with people.

The last time I checked, there were lots of them in sports.

That is not what he is saying at all. He is saying that win or lose, Kurt will believe and follow his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It's not the outcomes in life that matter, but rather how we go through it.

LT-

I said "his faith has helped him endure"

This is a quote from the piece:

"Through all of this, he has maintained his faith and now he has once again been put back on top of the mountain. We all can take lessons from him no matter what are religious background is. How can you say what I said is "not what he's saying at all"?

Obviously win or lose his faith is the most important thing of all, the whole article is about him maintaining his faith.

I hate the eagles
