Hypocrite

1. A person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.

2. A person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

Every morning I start my daily routine like this:

As I was running through the Rumor Mill I see comments from MeShawn Johnson and Cris "Bullet" Carter regarding the Anquan Boldin incident in the NFC Championship game. Here are a few of the quotes:

From MeShawn:

"No. It's not that big of a deal," Keyshawn said. "If it was, you could see players grabbing him ... I've been with Todd Haley and I've been around Todd Haley. He coached me with the Jets. He coached me in Dallas. In our meeting rooms (he) was the worst. You would like to be a fly on that wall. I don't how we could even be in the same room; I don't know how we can get along so well. But that's just a player and a coach out there competing. I work for TV, but I hate it because they try to turn it into more than it is. And, it's not that big of a deal."

From Bullet Carter:

"For one, a lot of times you don't know what the players are saying," Carter said. "But as players and coaches, we're a fraternity. Whatever we say on Sunday's or Monday's during the game it doesn't count. This is a competitive atmosphere. It's a result's oriented business ...When you have an athlete like him and he can't participate in the game, he's going to let the coach know that. And he has a right to know that because of the sacrifice he's made for his teammates."

Now I give Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News credit pointing out how hypocritical these comments are considering how Bullet and MeShawn have expressed their opinions on other receivers in the league, but I just had to give my take on this.

This quote from MeShawn is especially troubling:

I work for TV, but I hate it because they try to turn it into more than it is. And, it's not that big of a deal."

This is from a person who gets pure joy for criticizing Terrell Owens for even looking at a coach the wrong way. This is from a person who once called a teammate a "flashlight to his sun". This is from a person who was suspended half a season for yelling at his coach on a nationally televised game. Give me a break, Meshawn is the last person speaking on this issue. I will give ESPN credit for stepping up to the plate and giving the incident the proper coverage, but once again where is the consistency in the reporting. Meshawn has said that repeatedly that Wide Receivers who do this are a distractions to their team and now it isn't a big deal? Or is the reality that Meshawn uses his position at ESPN to take shots at players he doesn't like while protecting the ones he does like? I think you know the answer.

Now to Cris "Bullet" Carter:

"When you have an athlete like him and he can't participate in the game, he's going to let the coach know that. And he has a right to know that because of the sacrifice he's made for his teammates."

Bullet Carter is one record stated that it is Terrell Owens that is the problem with the Cowboys. Terrell Owens is on record saying that a lot of his sideline confrontations are because he wants to be involved n the game plan to help the team win. I have never heard Bullet Carter use this explanation used in Owens' defense or Chad Johnson defense. As far as sacrificing for teammates how about playing a Super Bowl with a broken ankle?

I understand there are individual situations for individual players, but trying to brush off Boldin's tantrum just because he isn't on your "sh*t list" doesn't fly with me. Boldin's was wrong and should be held to the same standards of every player in the NFL point blank period.

There is nothing worse than favoritism in reporting and it doesn't matter how many articles I have to write to point this out I will until it is beaten into the brain of ever fan and media type out there that is I catch you being a hypocrite I will call you out.

Actually T.O. had a broken leg not ankle when he played in the Super Bowl.

lol at Bullet Carter

Good read Rob. Ya know TO is my boy.

Didn't we give you enough free stuff for you to shut up?

Keyshawn is such a self-serving, hypocritical, punk-ass. For a guy that got dumped by every team he ever played for and built a reputation as a whiner he sure has his nerve to talk about TO. Its embarassing that he is from the same area as me and that he was a USC man.
Cris Carter is still a good guy in my book. He just made a mistake in his biased assesment of the Anquan situation.
