Instead of playing the role of the consummate company guy Donovan has finally decided to show some tenacity and gumption. Although his actions at times may seem misguided it should never be forgotten that for the first time in his career he is not trying to make everyone happy. Just his teammates, his coaches and his fans. He didn't stomp on another players head like Albert Haynesforth or setup a prop ahead of time like Joe Horn. He just got caught up in the moment. This doesn't make him classless, this makes him human.

So McNabb is classless because he picked up a phone on a sideline? I disagree. And a convicted felon with a record gets more time for crimes than a first time offender. In other words, players who have a history of dumb behavior get less benefit of the doubt than players who get caught up in a moment. Its just how life is.

Everyone makes sure they actually read what I wrote. Without question the "Act" was classless. I also said there was nothing to cause a riot over. I didn't attack Donovan he has had some suspects actions on the field before.

The venom of the article is more for Joe Buck than McNabb. What McNabb did was dumb and classless but in the end it was harmless similar to other things players have done such as T.O. and Chad Johnson that have been made in Outside the Lines specials.

Fair reporting is all I am looking for. Fair from Aikman. Bias from Buck

Furthermore. McNabb is not a Saint and just because you are "friends" with the media doesn't mean you should be treated any differently. McNabb has been a distraction and disruption in the past. Just because ESPN doesn't report it doesn't mean it isn't happening.

That is one of things that happens when you are caught in the matrix. You see what you are told to see not what is actually happening.

Littal dislikes mcnabb for some reason. Hes one of the only fools in the media that thinks TO can do no wrong. His hate on mcnabb and calling him a company man is code for him saying that mcnabb is an uncle tom. What a joke. How has Mcnabb been a distraction in the past? What are you referring to? Have you not seen the philly media? They like to make things bigger than they really are. The guy has put up with a lot for his whole career in the philly spotlight. He gives back to the community constantly and works hard for the team. For you to constantly find reasons to bash him and never offer him praise when he does something good or plays well, is disturbing.

Why is this such a big deal? Guys do things 100X "worse" and more flamboyant after touchdowns and everyone laughs, things it's clever, and celebrates the guy for "having fun."

It was kind of dumb, and it certainly is valid to wonder what goes on in McNabb's head sometimes, but lighten up. In the grand scheme of things, this was pretty harmless.

Have absoutely nothing personal against Donovan McNabb but I will report the facts that he as much as Owens was responsible for that divorce.

That he has been label in his own locker room as a company man.

On the flip side I have spoken how that going to 4 NFC Championship games (now a 5th) is a remarkable accomplishment, but that doesn't change the fact they lost 3 and he blew the Super Bowl.

The difference between me and the rest of the media is I don't waffle. I have given Donovan his due when he deserved it and the criticism when he has deserved no different than with any other player.

In this very article I said it was not a big deal my curiosity was how the media would cover it because they seem to protect some more than others. Same thing with the Wes Welker situation. Nothing personal but I don't like bias.

Littal you seem to forget that McNabb is one of the most criticized players in the media.Maybe not for classless antics,but for disappointing seasons even though the play calling by the Eagles coaches has been suspect for years now.Just wanted to point that out because you seem to be implying that the media loves McNabb as if he was Favre.

No he is criticized by the Philly media the National Media as a whole treat Andy Reid and McNabb with kid gloves.

Brooks there is no way you could have read the article.

Just because I am pro celebration that doesn't mean I am pro taunting and being disrepctful to your opponent.

Doing the Icky Shuffle or acting like Tiger Woods in end zone or doing a Snow Angel is fun.

Going on another teams sidelines picking up there phone is classless. Win with some class. Is it enough to go to war over no, but doesn't change the fact that is classless.

Once again Philip Rivers does it everyone is all over him.

Donovan didn't apologize he said he got caught in the moment. If I punch you in the face cause I got caught in the moment doesn't make it right.

I wouldn't like Philip Rivers get away with it, so why would I not speak on Donovan. Doesn't make you a "man" for answering a question a "man" wouldn't have done it in the 1st place.

Littal makes numerous great points about the media bias. On the McNabb issue, I completely disagree. If a player takes off his shirt and is doing pushups in his drive way, Im sorry...he is to blame for his own down fall. Furthermore, T.O. has acted crazy at every stop. So blaming McNabb for this to me is silly. Its happening in Dallas where some media members are criticizing Romo for not being able to manage T.O. When you show me a QB that has "managed" T.O. since T.O. went from humble Alabama boy to the guy we know now, show me that guy. As far as McNabb being a company guy? All I have to say is that the people who likely thought that are similar to the guys in the Dallas locker room who think Romo gets a free pass as well. Funny how the common denominator is T.O. when it comes to that perception in the locker room. Facts are, McNabb without T.O. is in his 5 NFC Championship game. HIs receivers are Kevin Curtis, a rookie in DeSean Jackson, and some guy named Avant. T.O., with his all pro O-line, all pro QB, all pro Tight End, and All Pro defense is at home because they can't get along. I'll ride with McNabb every time because he is stable in who he is. T.O. will cry for his QB in one moment and in the next accuse that QB of conspiring against him.

No, George, you're the joke. I watched every second of the game, which is why I knew the Eagles went to short crossing routes late in the first half when the Giants went into a 3-man rush. If you're going to try to take someone on for supposedly not watching a game, you're case would be a lot better if said person didn't have the command of minute details that I have after having watched the contest. Are you going to say that conditions had nothing to do with throwing short passes instead of long ones? He piled up most of his yardage in the second half anyway in the face of the 4 man rush and several called blitzes. A tipped pass for an interception is really the qbs fault right? Let me guess are you going to tell me that none of the int in the carolina game were delhommes fault? Many other knowledgeable writers are acknowledging that the 58.2 rating wasnt indicative of his performance. Face it, without mcnabb the eagles dont move the ball at all since westbrook was bottled up all game.
Lastly, it looks like you are forgetting or failing to acknowledge that he also apologized for his stupid decision to pick up the phone on his opponents sideline. So next time, when you attempt to write something informative, make sure you write the whole truth instead of picking and choosing.
