WADE'S WORLD: DIVORCE,CHILD SUPPORT AND STDS

It is no breaking story that NBA poster child, Dwyane Wade has soon to be ex-wifey troubles and pending legal woes, in fact its late breaking news. Thanks to my job hunt and life's trials and tribulations dealing with personal and business relationships, this economy and other concerns, this model-writer has been swamped with strategizing and plotting the best course of action to not only improve her own life but ultimately the lives of those around her. After careful thought on whether to even post this and what angle I wanted to take, all I could come back to was what's stopping me from posting this and just how bitter Dwyane's estranged, ex-wife Siohvaughn Wade seems.

I first got wind of this story on websites Deadspin.com and BallHype.com last week. Allegedly, Mrs. Wade told the Miami Herald that Dwyane:

"...Abandoned his children, committed adultery, and infected her with an unspecified sexually transmitted disease. She wants the names of ''all of his sexual partners'' during their six-year marriage.

Dwyane, named a ''Father of the Year'' in 2007 by the National Father's Day Committee, has gone ''months'' without seeing his boys, Siohvaughn says. His ''failure to spend time with them . . . has resulted in the children at times being afraid of him; in fact, Zion . . . does not recognize or know Dwyane.'' She wants sole custody, and support.
She also says she has suffered ''grievous physical, emotional and mental injury'' from the STD, diagnosed in the fall of '07. (The infection is not HIV or a ''killer thing,'' sources say.) Dwyane and his ''paramour or paramours'' are liable," she claims.

Being a woman, of course if any of this is true I can empathize with her. I can only imagine being married to a mega-star athlete can be taxing on the mind and spirit with grueling playing schedules, opportunities for groupie love at every twist and turn at home and on the road and having to get creative with the time you spend together as well as communication in general however there are red flags here that scream "when a woman's pissed off" more so than "when a woman's fed up."

"These malicious allegations are absolutely false and we look forward to the opportunity to dispute them in court,"
replied D Wade's Chicago based attorney, James Pritikin.

Let's weight the factors:

1) A healthy NBA star plays 82 games a year/season and at least 50% of those are road games. This does not include playoff games in the post-season. With the total months spent away from home over the course of Dwyane's 6 year career, his children are suddenly afraid of him and don't recognize him?
2) Why is she requesting the names of his "jump-offs"? If you're really concerned about the welfare of these women then why not have your attorney notify them that you tested positive for an STD and provide proof. Real talk, there's no way to prove WHO gave you a STD unless you've ONLY been with ONE person. How do we know she wasn't stepping out herself?
3) "Grievous physical, emotional and mental injury" from an "unspecified" STD that sources rule as minor and treatable as opposed to major and a potential death sentence such as HIV? Wow,seriously? The emotional distress I can wrap my mind around but physical and mental injury? Fill your prescription, take your pills and keep it moving!
4) On top of all this distress she's trying to hold D-Wade and his "jump-offs" liable for her contracting this alleged STD. Last time I checked, you can't sue someone unless you have proof that they knowingly put you in harm's way and failed to warn you about having an infectious disease such as in the case when HIV was wide spread in the 1990's with individuals knowingly sleeping with men and or women infecting them with the disease without notifying them. That's illegal!
5) What sense does it make that you are filing for sole custody and seeking child support when you are complaining he doesn't spend enough time with his kids? How does that benefit your sons to see their father only a few times a week supervised as opposed to him freely picking them up and spending time with them with no supervision?

With his upcoming appearance in the All-Star game, Wade is on top of his game as the league's lead scorer (28.8 ppg) while I don't exempt any spouse for the potential to cheat, it totally throws me how an individual proclaimed "Father of the Year" by the National Father's Day Committee with a non-profit organization (Wade's World) aimed at promoting education, health and social skills for children in at-risk situations can be so nonchalant about neglecting his own kids. It's seemingly convenient these grievances came out after Wade filed for divorce in May and since has been linked to dating actress, Gabrielle Union. Hmm.....

While Mrs. Wade's attorney, Dorene Marcus has a point when she says "A person's public persona does not necessarily reflect his behavior in private," so does the statement, "Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned." Well in this case, "Hell hath no fury than a woman burned."

I definitely believe that his wife is bitter and possibly scorned. I do not approve or agree with cheating on your spouse, but it seems to me that she is doing this moreso to hurt D-Wade than anything else. The same comments that you made are the ones I was thinking as I read the article. Something had to flip because there were no allegations of foul play before from his wife. It seems to me that everything was cool until D-Wade pulled a Beyonce and decided to "Upgrade" (allegedly). This seems to be a continuation of "Diary of a Mad Black Woman". Every season and especially every all-star game Wade does charity events to give back to the community. He is generally known as a nice guy with a big heart. I doubt that he would abandon his children. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until she can really prove all her allegations. This also could be a ploy to keep D-Wade in check. It you've seen "A Family that Preys", you know what I mean.

alll i can say is wooooooow luckily she aint on opera
