Seriously I need someone to explain this to me. Michael Vick goes to jail for almost two years for dog fighting, but Matt Jones was caught sniffing cocaine in his car red handed and got a traffic ticket. On top of that it took the NFL what seemed to be 47 years to suspend him for the last three games of the year but when any other player in the league was even caught jaywalking they were hit with a suspension immediately.
Also where was the media coverage? Why wasn't anyone hounding Matt Jones like they were Pacman Jones? If anything the media just seemed to dismiss it. It was a bigger story when Super Bowl MVP Santanio Holmes was caught with a blunt than Jones snorting cocaine like he was Tony Montana nephew.
This is what I mean when I say there is a double standard with the media. This brings me to the point that Matt Jones has been arrested again. Our good friends at Profootballtalk.com broke the story. He has been arrested and charged with having a "control substance" (hmmm wonder what that could be) and violating his probation.
If Roger Goodell and the media sleeps on this story again it will show the bias that I am always talking about in professional sports. Where a player like Terrell Owens is vilified for "talking to much" and a dope head like Jones gets snorts half of the Jacksonville coke supply up his nose and no one is talking about it.
Here is what I am going to do. I am going to give it a day and I am going to update you on the media coverage and we will see how "Fair and Balance" it is.

Maybe if he had been snorting the coke with a Bassett hound, then PETA could have gotten involved. It's an absolute joke. Anything less than a year's suspension will automatically destroy Roger Goodell's credibility.
