I never understood the appeal of Facebook I mean I have friends who use it and enjoy it. I admit I have also visited their Facebooks as well. However beyond that I don't really post my thoughts or any pictures on any of those either. I personally feel that's being on the safe side and after reading the story about how an Eagles employee was fired when he referred to the Eagles as "retarded" for letting Dawkins go and sign with the Broncos I realize that I'm glad to not have a Facebook at least one as apparent as Dan Leone's. Dan Leone is the former Eagles employee who referred to the Eagles as retarded on his Facebook according to the Philadelphia Inquirer of course to add insult to injury he didn't even spell "retarded" right it was "rerarded".
I mean as a fan I understand why you would think the Eagles were stupid to let an icon like Brian Dawkins get away and to even let off steam for it to a bunch of guys. I mean I'm sure a lot of us have dissed the decisions of our superiors when we're out of the office. I think anyone who says otherwise isn't being entirely honest. That being said Dan Leone still deserved to be fired because the Eagles can't have an asylum here. If one employee can skate doing this then others can too and then it starts a whole set of problems. Add to the fact that this was a public forum to begin with where anyone can access it. Yes even your boss. So if you're going to trash the organization you work for that's fine but keep it out of Facebook because Dan Leone just joined the millions of people who are unemployed in America right now because he couldn't follow such a simple rule.
