Officially, or unofficially, Gilbert Arenas is back.
And that's not happening this year. But throw a little Blake Griffin or Thabeet Hashem into the mix...Or dare I say, Brandon Jennings? Hey,we just might have something here. The Wizards went through a horrific this year, with so many injuries, and the focus of players just not being there all the time. But if last night's game is any indication...Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards will be around to bother other teams next year, all the way through May.
This is great for the NBA. We all love or love to hate Gilbert. This is great for the Eastern Conference, another high-powered offensive machine. But some people aren't very happy...

It's unfortunate that GA has said he is done blogging, and is just ready to play basketball. We all very well know he isn't done. He's the epitome of entertainment in the NBA, from his nicknames to his stories about other players to his blog.
When the Wizards become relevant again, that NBA.com blog will be back. Or maybe he meant he's going to stop blogging, so he can twitter.
Who knows, but one thing is for sure...Gilbert Arenas is back. And he will make noise at some point in time. It won't be this season. It's going to be this off-season, and next season. Maybe he won't like the draft pick the Wizards make and ask for a trade. Maybe he will just talk about how the Cavaliers wouldn't have won the Championship if the Wizards were there, and will pull the Phil-Jackson-NBA-Lockout-Championship-Asterisk out, and give it to the Cavaliers Championship.
Maybe they won't, and Gilbert will talk about the Cavs flaws.
If there's one team that's glad that the Wizards aren't in the playoffs, it's the Cavs. True, they haven't lost a playoff series to them, but they are exhausted by the Wizards.
If you thought this season was good...Wait til next season, when Gilbert is back. Oh, and some of the best players in the NBA are all in their contract years.
Can we just get nicer jerseys for the Wizards next year?

I miss his blogging
Gilbert seems like a great guy, but his reputation as a great player is way overblown.
