So Kendrick "Ice Grill" Perkins seems to think that the referees aren't giving the champions any calls. He recently said that he doesn't think the refs like the C's. It's pretty obviously Perkins doesn't catch too many other games on his down time. He seems oblivious to the national sentiment that the Celtics get and have gotten too many calls since they have been playing with the Big Three. Kendrick doesn't seem to realize how he comes across through the HDTV. He's probably the biggest whiner and complainer I see in the league today. He's always has on his scowl, I can't imagine what his baby pictures look like and every time a foul is called on him, like T- Pain... He Can't Believe It.
I'm not sure when it happened but somewhere in between the C's acquiring KG and Allen and winning the championship they have become a team of whiners and complainers. From Doc Rivers to Paul Pierce the refs are doing them wrong, I suppose this is the reason for all the technicals fouls they receive in their eyes. Even reports in the city papers are crying foul. It's if they are all taking the que from their Color Commentator Hall of Famer, Tommy Heinsohn who is such a homer that I have to get popcorn everytime I hear him calling the game because it's so ridiculous you'd think that he was a dad at a softball game. While I do think the refs can sometimes get caught up in the environment and can be inconsistent, this isn't new ground here the Celtics should be the last team complaining. They have gotten their share of calls and ref-love for the past year. There are plenty other teams that have more of a reason to really complain. Maybe Perkins should catch a Rockets game and see how they ref Yao.
The Real Story is devolopment of Derrick Rose and Ben Gordons contract. As I said when predicting the series the Bulls are the deeper team. Without KG they really have the better front line. Paul Pierce is who we thought he was... Paul Pierce. Not that guy that people wanted to think was all of a sudden better than Kobe after last year and had ascended into basketball GOD status. Ben Gordon remembered he turned down a lot of change and that he's playing for a contract which has inspired him to look like Ben "Jordan" at times. With Rose going so hard and the wealth of talent the Bulls can throw at you in Salmons, Noah, Thomas, Hinrich and Tim Thomas all role-players that can get you 20, a couple of them can get you 30 you're going to have problems. Give the kids credit they are fighting tooth and nail.
Luckily for Boston, the injury to Ben Gordon might of saved the Celtics in my eyes. Even though I picked the C's the Bulls just look like they want it more. Without Gordon they really need Salmons or Tim Thomas to step up. The Celtics need to focus on playing harder not pouting at the refs. And I say to CelticsNation, maybe if Davis would make a layup down the stretch they'd be a different spot.

Every team and player in the NBA whines and complains about fouls. The refs make good calls and bad calls in every game for every team. This article is clearly biased and you can tell that the author hates the Celtics. How do the Celtics get all the praise?? Last year, everyone in the media picked the Pistons in the ECF and the Lakers in the finals and when the Celtics won it, they all made excuses for the Pistons and Lakers. If you have been watching the series on national tv, you can clearly hear the announcers calling the game from the Bulls perspective. Also, I would like to know why this article isn't about Brad Miller who still had TWO shots at the end of the game to tie it and he missed them both complaining about the refs and making excuses. So please get your facts straight before writing such biased nonsense to appeal to the Kobe and Lebron homers.

Seriously I appreciate your comments, but this was written before last nights game. I don't "hate" the Celtics but because you're such a bball fan i'm hard pressed trying to figure out why you don't see the irony in the Celtics complaining about the refs. Especially Perkins?!
Seriously, to echo what anonymous said... the Celtics clearly got some more "ref-love" last night. You couldn't convince my 12 year old nephew that Rondo didn't flagrant foul Miller. They have no reason to complain... that play may have cost the Bulls the series

The calls went both ways, for instance the sixth foul on Ray Allen was a terrible call. In the end Brad Miller still had two shots and he missed them both. A flagrant foul wouldn't have made much of a difference. Watch game 4 again and a bunch of fouls went against the Celtics including the Scalabrine blocking foul. I mean to single out the Celtics complaining is ridiculous. Have you ever seen an Orlando Magic press conference? Stan Van Gundy is the biggest whiner in the NBA.
I hear what you're saying, that being said that's a flagrant on Rondo. My point was it's not about Celtics hate because they have received their share of calls the past year. I follow the league intently, and for Perkins to complain you and I know is comedy. It's funny to see the Boston Globe and Celtic people complain about the refs when again... they have gotten favorable calls for a year now. Nothing against your beloved Celtics
I do agree about Stan Van Gundy. What was funny was hoe he got all sensitive because of Dileo complaining about how the rules are not enforced on D12. Again the Irony in SVG comments was amazing.
Perkins does have the permanent Gas Face on all the time. Always looks like his mom just told him that he can't get nothing off the Ice Cream Truck
