I know sometimes I can be a little long winded and to be honest I don't even want to write about this, so I will get straight the point:
He had a softball interview today on Mike & Mike in the Morning and once again I was utterly disgusted in the fact the he must think we all are idiots.
I was going to let it go, but then the guys at Hugging Harold Reynolds (that has to be the best name for a blog ever) pointed out this quote from Clemens explaining why it would be dumb for anyone to even consider he took steroids via Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/BlkSportsOnline):
"You know guys, let me just add to it. Common sense...our family has a history of heart conditions. My brother had a heart attack in his late 40's, my step-dad died of a heart attack. I mean it would be suicidal for me to think about even taking any of these dangerous drugs."
I definitely don't want to downplay the fact his brother passed away at a very early age, but last time I checked your step parents aren't blood relatives. Now I could be wrong I am consulting with Dr. House right now for clarification, but here is my point.
When you lie to keep the lie up you have to tell more lies. It is a continuous string of lies until you forget what are lies and what is the truth.
I am not a proponent of throwing people in jail just because they told a lie. Clemens arrogance on the matter is seriously making me reconsider.
Nice also by Mike and Mike not to even mention he quote was asinine. It is easy to be a "tough" sports personality when you aren't talking directly to the source, but to punk out when he was on air is weak. If I ever do that someone slap me "Chris Brown" style.

You tell em Littal
i didn't hear the interview so i can't say too much. i will say i don't have a problem with them being soft b/c i don't perceive them to be tough interviewers with anyone. so the expectations are "low" to begin with.
i don't know. when i read that quote i don't think he meant he was at an increased risk for heart disease b/c his step father died of a heart attack. i think he was trying to say that he doesn't want to experience dying of a heart attack, so he wouldn't do steroids.
but he's still an f'ing liar.
LOL
If his brother was in his late 40's when he had the heart attack, wouldn't that mean it happened after Clemens had already started using steroids? So why are we to believe that something which had not even occurred was supposed to have prevented him from doing them?
