For any parent there is nothing worse, short of death, than a child hurt or in danger. Imagine Mike Tyson's anguish at hearing the news that his 4 year old daughter,Exodus, is now seriously critical in St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. The boxer-actor most notable for his various heavyweight titles, troubled marriage to actress,Robin Givens and rape scandal involving Rhode Island beauty queen, Desiree Washington recently acquired new found fame in his critically acclaimed documentary, Tyson, a no holds barred look at Tyson's troubled childhood and rise to world heavyweight fame by director,James Toback.

According to sources, the precocious little girl was watching TV with her 7 year old brother when she became entangled in a cord attached to the family's treadmill. The little boy found her with the cord around her neck after being sent by their mom to find her. The mother who had been cleaning in another room tried to revive Exodus while waiting for the ambulance to arrive after calling 911. Originally she reported the 'tragic accident' as an electrocution before changing it to a hanging.

Sgt Andy Hill told KTAR radio station ,"There was also a number of pieces of exercise equipment, and somehow the little girl got herself on a piece of equipment and she ended up kind of choking herself."

At press time, she lies in the hospital in "extremely critical condition" on life support. Currently, no one from Tyson's camp could be reached for comment or for further details about Exodus' condition. Recently, Tyson was cast in the upcoming tongue and cheek comedy, 'Hangover' as himself (in theaters in June 5th.) My prayers go out to Tyson, Exodus' mother, his five other children (Rayna,Miguel,Amir,Mikey and Gena) and the rest of his family in this tragic time.

Hope she pulls through

This is terrible, terrible news. My heart goes out to the Tyson family.

Mike has been one of the most tragic sports figures in recent memory, even though much of it is self inflicted.

He used to be king of the world.

So by the time of the submission of this comment Mike Tyson's daughter was officially pronounced deceased at a hospital sometime this afternoon. Tyson is one of the most interesting atheletes in the world with many fans and many, many more critics. As a person who was both a fan and a critic I would like to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to Tyson and his daughter's mother. No matter how much of the "evil villain" he was made out to be, something like this should never happen to anyone.
