There was a time that I honestly thought Quincy Carter was going to be an elite Quarterback in the NFL. Yeah I was a bit off on that one. Carter has been arrested for what seems like the 37 time. This time it is for probation violation. Here are the details:
ABILENE, Texas - Ruff Riders quarterback Quincy Carter was picked up by police Sunday night in Abilene on a warrant out of Dallas County for violation of probation, according to records at the Taylor County Jail.
The former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys immediately bonded out and spent no time in jail.
Carter has a long history with the law. He was arrested for marijuana possession and DWI in Mission, Texas in February, two weeks prior to signing with the Abilene Ruff Riders.
He was arrested for marijuana possession in Irving in December 2006, and was arrested for the same thing again in Shreveport in October 2007. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possessing marijuana and was sentenced to six months' unsupervised probation and fined $300.
Carter guided the Cowboys to a 10-6 record and the playoffs in 2003. He was released in training camp before the 2004 season.
