I don't really have anything profound to say. I am as shocked as everyone else. It sports we talk about the difference between "great" players and "legendary" players. MJ was MJ way before Michael Jordan was MJ.
My favorite Michael Jackson song of all time.
"Rock With You"
.

Hey, have you seen this news article?
New details about Michael Jackson's Death Emerge
I was wondering if you were going to blog about this...
I am deeply saddned by his loss. I am 32 years old and so Micheal Jackson was who my generation watched growing up. Its like we all knew the day would come when we would say goodbye to MJ, but none of expected it to come so soon. I guess now i know how older generations felt when they lost Elvis. But he was so much bigger than Elvis. I just realized how far his reach was, he worked with EVERYBODY including in sports. He did the "Jam" video with Micheal Jordan, and had Magic Johnson's acting debut in "Remember the Time".
I am too hurt by his loss. Soundtrack of my life. I had the jacket and everything else as a kid. Probably the only person alive I still view as unreal or would be starstruck if I seen. GOtta listen to "Rock With You" along with the rest of that "Off The Wall" album
just not right...
RIP The GOAT
I am devastated by the news that my man MJ has passed. I have always thought of him as an immortal figure. Everyone dies, but I could never wrap my mind around the thought that this fate would meet MJ. I am in my early to mid 30s, so albums like Off The Wall are first and foremost in my mind. Props to Robert Littal for treating his death with the care and dignity that it deserves. Mr. Littal, you may not have had much to say, but you said it and displayed it with the right amount of respect. MJ, we miss you. We love you.
We were all very lucky to have witnessed and lived to see MJ perform. I have a 10 month old son and though I'll try to explain the magic, he'll never fully understand. My favorite memory of MJ wasn't even music, it was him using his power to shed light on poverty during his "Time to make a Change" tour overseas. I'm drinking a toast to MJ tonight...salut and travel well sir.
