FoxSports is reporting that Brett Favre has been moved to the N.Y Jets for a variable draft pick. The draft pick is dependent on the production that Favre creates.
This would seem like a win-win for both parties involved, as the Packers ship Favre out of the conference to a team they likely wont face unless Favre is out there in a wheelchair ( 2012 ). The Jets get an extra quarterback on a squad that spent extensive money creating a powerful offensive line and tweaking an offense that was: (1) paltry at best last year; (2) that was lead by 2nd-year quarterback Kellen Clemens.
The question is now how does this fit work for the Jets, who play in a division led by the best of the best ( New England Patriots), the worst of the worst (Miami Dolphins) and the most mediocre ( Buffalo Bills) team in the league. They now, arguably, pose a wild card threat with a now bolstered air attack led by veteran Lavereneus Coles and breakout player Jerricho Cotchery.
