Unless you're not into sports, basketball, or living under a rock with no access to cable television, newspapers or the internet, you've probably heard about what Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban did during Game 3 of the Mavs' series against the Denver Nuggets. You've probably also heard about Kenyon Martin's "displeasure," and vowed to take care of it. Cuban publicly apologized to Martin's mother on his blog this morning after Dallas' win in Game 4.

I went to UCLA years ago, while the sister of Baron Davis worked in the admissions office. I only dealt with her once, and she was very nice. Baron came later to the school, as a heralded high schooler out of Crossroads High School in Santa Monica (where his classmates had names like Kate Hudson or Cash Warren), and B-D would become of the greatest talents to ever grace the Bruin basketball program.

I've talked to him on numerous occasions, and he's very humble, and realizes basketball isn't the be-all-or-end-all for his life. Davis has become much more than just a basketball player. He is a lobbyist (as he is in Washington, DC at this moment...follow him on twitter), music connoisseur, movie critic, and movie producer.

With Manuel Noriega no longer in power, life has settled down quite well for Panama and many of its citizens. In what could be one of the greatest posts in blogging history, Gotty at The Smoking Section gives us one of the treasures of the country during a game of the country's pastime...cricket.
