Dallas Cowboys Stadium Out Of Running for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Fight

Earlier in the day I spoke with someone close to the Mayweather camp who said Mayweather was not too keen on fighting in Dallas because of the judges and the outdoor facility.

Even thought Dallas Stadium has a roof the vibe I got was that they did not want to fight there.

Even with that being said everyone including myself assumed Bob Arum and Richard Schaefer were in Texas to mull over an offer from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Now I am being told and this is being confirmed that they never made the trip.

Michael Marley of The Examiner was ableto get this quote from Bob Arum:

“Schaefer refused to go,” Arum told Marley on Wednesday afternoon. “He said they don’t to have to fight in an outdoor stadium. I was stunned because we all had our plane tickets and all that.”

In it unclear if this will cause issues with the fight happening on March 13th

Both fighters have agreed to terms, but no contracts have been officially signed.

With Dallas out of the picture it is a virtual lock that Vegas will host the fight if it is signed.

As more details come out I will update this story.
