In one of my most famous articles:
THE 10 BONA FIDE COMMANDMENTS FOR THE CHEATING ATHLETE
Commandment Seven says:
VII- THOU SHALL REMEMBER CONDOMS COST $8 A BOX AS OPPOSED TO 25% OF YOUR GROSS INCOME GOING TO CHILD SUPPORT.
Also known as the “Shawn Kemp/Travis Henry/Evander Holyfield Rule.” I had a girlfriend once whose main goal in our relationship was to get pregnant. The reason being, she knew I would always support the child. At that point in my life, I was making $12 an hour in a call center. Now imagine, if I were making 12 million dollars a year, how many women would give their right arm to have a little Robert Littal Jr. running around so they can sit on their ass and watch Oprah and buy Coach bags on my dime.
I understand athletes aren’t the brightest people in the world and can’t always understand that $8 is a lot less than $8000 a month. I am sure there are women who love athletes for their “personalities” and would never dare to get pregnant on purpose. However, I am more sure there are many women who see athletes as a free American Express card for life.
I am going to have to call up all the major sports (NBA, NFL, MLB and more) and have them distribute these commandments during training camps. The latest player not to follow my rules is San Diego Chargers Cornerback Antonio Cromartie. Cromartie who might want to schedule an appearance on Maury has spread mini Cromarties all across the USA.
With that being said if you are being a father to your children who cares, but according to San Diego Union-Tribune he is having some child support issues:
Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie is past due on about $25,000 in child support after missing his Feb. 1 payment due date for several of his children, an attorney for the mother of one of his children says. Cromartie, 25, has at least seven children with six different women in five states. The timeliness of his child support payments has been an ongoing concern to the mothers, court records show. An attorney for one of the mothers recently filed a document in San Diego Superior Court that prevents him from buying or selling any property without first making sure he’s current on his child support. That mother is owed $3,500 monthly for his 2-year-old daughter. All of the children are under 6.
Homie has seven kids and they are all under six years old, by six different women in five different states?
Even Travis Henry is impressed with this feat.
We have to do better fellas. We have to do better.
