In non Tiger news there may have been an interesting motive why former Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard was traded to the Wizards and it had nothing to do with his production on the court.
According to team sources Howard missed a game on January 20th against the Wizards ironically because he was hung-over.
You heard me right Howard missed the game because he was still drunk from partying the night before.
Howard responded by saying:
“Not responding to a lie. My lawyers are taking action… Thanks. That’s a response.”
I have known my share of athletes and he would have had to drink a whole lot to miss a game, so I don’t know if the Mavericks just trying to make him look bad or if it is really true.
The official reason he was held out of the game was “stomach illness” and because he missed the morning shoot around. He did not play another game for the Mavericks after that.
If true how stupid are the Wizards for trading for a player who couldn’t play against them because of too many Patron shots.
Howard has had his share of issues.
He admitted to smoking that Michael Phelps (not a big deal to me), after a loss once he was in locker room passing out flyers to his birthday party (comical, but I understand how that could rub people the wrong way) and the infamous YouTube video of him saying he doesn’t celebrate the national anthem (his choice shouldn’t have put it on video).
Wonder when will we see the “State of Josh Howard” address?
