Is Tebow’s dad smoking that “Michael Phelps” or does he know something that we don’t know?
I decided to take a look at the first fifteen picks of the draft and here are my conclusions. Out of the 15 teams only three seem dumb enough to take Tebow that high.
Jacksonville at #10
San Francisco at #13
Seattle at #14
Jacksonville would do it for ticket sales, 49ers for character and Seattle just because they have no idea what they are doing (see: Whitehurst trade).
There are people in Tebow’s camp according to ProFootballTalk.com that believe there is no way that Tebow gets out of the first round.
Personally while I don’t care where Tebow gets drafted, I think the higher he is drafted, the higher the expectations, the higher the demand for him to play immediately and the higher chance that he turns into Rex Grossman.
At least there is some intrigue in the draft beyond the number pick. Could you imagine the talk if Tebow went at #10 to the Jaguars and Jimmy Clausen was still on the board?
Interesting times for Young Tebow, hopefully he doesn’t ask anything other players to pray for him.
